The creation of a division of the trial court that is exclusively for business cases that qualify is significant. Several Florida counties have followed the experiment first introduced in Orange County (Orlando). Miami-Dade County introduced the Complex Litigation Division approximately two years ago. From the viewpoint of a practitioner, it serves the clients well and is extremely successful. There are some few other states around the country that have introduced business courts, but not many and not on a broad scale.
