Five ways to protect your legal rights if you are in need of commercial or business litigation lawyer.
Tell your commercial litigation lawyer everything and tell it truthfully, that is the first. Secondly, give your lawyer all documents related to the matter and do not filter them. Documents consist of e-mails, notes, memoranda, correspondence, agreements and anything and everything else that is written in any medium, including the digital medium. Thirdly, be a part of the case—be involved and aware. Establish a “partnering” relationship with your lawyer in planning and implementing the strategy of the case. Fourthly, tell the truth. Lastly, don’t try to win your case on deposition. It rarely, if ever, helps and most frequently has the opposite effect.
